Laser Genesis is an advanced, non-invasive laser procedure that promotes vibrant, healthy looking skin in men and women. By treating conditions typically associated with premature signs of aging, redness, and sun damage a more youthful appearance is obtainable. As an added benefit, Laser Genesis has been scientifically proven to produce new collagen.

Laser Genesis also tightens pores, decreases oil production, and kills bacteria which helps improve active acne. For some patients, Laser Genesis may be enough to control their acne. For others, a combination of Laser Genesis and other acne treatments such as chemical peels and/or Obagi’s CLENZIderm skincare products may be best.

Laser Genesis works by gently heating the upper dermis deep beneath the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen regrowth. Collagen is one of the keys to healthier, younger-looking skin. The energy emitted from the laser is concentrated on areas to reduce dilated capillaries to improve the clarity of the skin. Some patients have described the sensation during the treatment as warmth similar to a nice day at the beach.

Acne occurs when the pores are clogged with oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria. Inflammation of the pores can appear as blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, and cysts. The energy from a Laser Genesis treatment helps to break-up this debris in the pores and kill the acne-causing bacteria. Our patients have been very happy with their results.

Mild redness and warmth of the treatment area are common and should resolve within a few hours. A healthy glow and slight firming of the skin are noticeable post-treatment, although the best results continue to develop up to 6 months after a Laser Genesis series. Our acne patients typically see improvements in their skin in only a few days.
