What is Juvederm Ultra Plus XC?
First approved by the FDA back in 2006, Ultra Plus XC corrects moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the parentheses lines or smile/laugh lines around the nose and mouth, also known as nasolabial folds. Ultra Plus XC is made up of hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a sugar naturally produced by the body that retains moisture in the skin. The main ingredient of all the Juvederm “Collection of Fillers” is a modified form of HA. These fillers temporarily restore volume loss in certain areas, such as nasolabial folds, and the consistency of the HA provides for long-lasting, natural-looking results.
How does Juvederm Ultra Plus work?
