SkinPen Microneedling and PRP is a treatment that utilizes the patient’s own blood to revitalize the skin. During the treatment a small amount of the patient’s blood is placed into a centrifuge to separate the plasma. This platelet rich plasma is applied topically prior to and during microneedling. Plasma contains high concentration of platelets, stem cells, and growth factors which helps your skin heal and produce new cells. When PRP is used in conjunction with microneedling, the plasma penetrates the skin through tiny channels. Wonderfully, the body responds by creating even more new elastin and collagen, the building blocks of firmer, tighter-looking skin!
