BLU-U light therapy is FDA-cleared for the treatment of moderate inflammatory acne. The narrow-band blue light causes a photodynamic effect that kills bacteria within the pilosebaceous gland. A BLU-U session is non-invasive, pain-free, and usually lasts approximately 30 minutes. Common treatment areas include the face, chest, and back.
