Laser Skin Revitalization is a relatively quick procedure with little to no downtime. Depending on the number of energy pulses delivered by the PicoSure laser, a Laser Skin Revitalization treatment can take from 15 to 30 minutes to complete. Before the treatment, the nurse practitioner will fit the patient with specialized laser goggles to protect the eyes from the laser beam. During the treatment, a warming sensation will be felt by the patient with a possibility of minimal discomfort as laser energy builds or target areas of hyperpigmentation. Most patients find this treatment very tolerable and some even find it relaxing.  After the treatment, the patient may experience minor swelling, redness, and/or a lingering sensation of heat which will likely dissipate within 24 hours. There may also be slight darkening (bronzing) of the skin 3-10 days post laser treatment, but this should resolve without intervention.

Most patients will require 4 to 6 treatments to reach the desired results.
