What happens during a Laser Genesis treatment?
Laser Genesis works by gently heating the upper dermis deep beneath the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen regrowth. The energy emitted from the laser is concentrated on areas to reduce dilated capillaries and redness. Some patients have described the sensation during the treatment as warmth similar to a nice day at the beach.
What should I expect after a Laser Genesis treatment?
Mild redness and warmth of the treatment area are common, and should resolve within a few hours. A healthy glow and slight firming of the skin are noticeable post treatment, although the best results continue to develop up to 6 months after a Laser Genesis series.
How many treatments will I need?
Most patients will require 4 to 6 treatments in order to reach the desired results. Laser Genesis can also be combined with other laser procedures, treatments, and/or skin care products to achieve maximum benefits. Dermacare offers a “Crow’s Feet Package”, which combines the collagen stimulation from Laser Genesis, relaxing of overly expressive muscles near the eye area from Botox, and firming and tightening from the Obagi Elastiderm eye cream.
Who can be treated?
Laser Genesis is ideal for light to medium skin types, but is safe for all skin types. Men and
women alike are candidates for this treatment.
Is Laser Genesis FDA approved?
Yes, Laser Genesis is approved for the treatment of wrinkles such as, but not limited to, wrinkles
around the eyes and mouth.
